Dencon's design philosophy is that every choice is made with the environment in mind. We take share and responsibility for taking care of our home - the Earth. At Dencon, environmentally conscious is not just something we say. We have been ISO 14001 certified since 2002 and FSC®-certified since 2020.
Today, Dencon A/S consists of approx. 50 employees and a
production area of 8,500m2.
Dencon is working to modernise its
visual expression and design language.
Our showroom is moving to new premises in the heart of Copenhagen. The address is now Kronprinsessegade 6, kld, 1306 Copenhagen.
A new 780m2 administration building is being built to replace the old office building from 1991.
Dencon A/S becomes FSC®-certified, which we still are today.
New innovative machine thread is introduced, enabling Dencon A/S to move away from traditional serial production to one-piece production with minimal changeover time.
Production is expanded by 700m2. This expansion included new sheet metal storage and a new automatic panel saw.
The CEO (Henrik Feld) buys Dencon A/S and therefore Dencon A/S becomes an independent company again.
Dencon A/S becomes ISO-14001 environmentally certified, which is still a certificate we have today.
The factory is being expanded with a new 644m2 raw material warehouse.
Dencon's first architect-designed office furniture range is released under the name Gamma.
The collaboration with Michael H. Nielsen started in 1999 and it was Dencon's first collaboration with a furniture architect.
Henrik Feld (Started in 1994) becomes the new CEO of Dencon A/S.
Factory expands with new
Finished goods warehouse and packing hall of 2314m2.
The company is renamed:
The first extension is a 234m2 office building. Before the office building, the office was an integral part of the production building.
The company is moving to its current location on Skyttevej. The factory now has an area of 4,200m2.
Erik Jakobsen founds EJ Møbler, which is later renamed Dencon. The factory was located on Vindevej with an area of 300m2.
